Most schools require that you order a cap and gown to ensure you receive one that will fit you correctly. It should be done from shoulder to shoulder tip to tip. In addition you can order what size of cap you need to fit on your head. This requires that you provide both height and weight measurements when ordering to ensure that the gown isnt too long and fits around you comfortably. Measure the total length from your head all the way to the ground with your shoes on. Measure you shoulder length.
We want your cap gown to fit you properly. This should be the weight taken with your casual clothes on. Record your weight in pounds. Have your height taken. Gowns have a generous cut and are sized so that they fall 8 to 10 inches from the floor. Caps are one size fits all.
